Pule Inc. partook in our first Career Fair
Pule Inc. partook in our first Career Fair on Tuesday the 9th of April at the University of the Witwatersrand (WITS) where we interacted with law students and fellow colleagues in the profession.
Our team thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the students, answering their questions and broadening their knowledge of the field. We received a lot of questions pertaining to conveyancing and personal injury (road accident fund) practice and it was a noteworthy pleasure to share insight on those aspects of the law. What also stood out for us was that many students were not aware of our firm or that we have been in practice for 30 years but were equally inspired that we are black-owned, female-led and that the majority of our team comprises of strong females.
We also announced our first annual Winter Vacation Programme and it gave our team great pleasure to provide hope to students that the selection criteria is not based purely on marks but rather on a value approach looking at the candidate as a whole. Two lucky students gained automatic entry onto the shortlist and one of them will be amongst those selected for the programme.
Overall, our team enjoyed seeing our younger selves in the students and being the voice of hope for them that we needed during our time. We are grateful to Wits for the opportunity and look forward to partaking in more initiatives like this in the near future.
